Light Codes of the Body: An Exploration of the Chakra System

Saturday, March 28
2-3:30pm

The word chakra is the ancient Sanskrit term for “wheel.” These spinning vortices carry vital force (prana) throughout our energetic systems, and each chakra is an anchor for archetypal energies and wisdom that can carry us forward on our evolutionary path. The chakra system serves as the bridge between consciousness and our physical bodies.

This class will offer an introduction to the seven “main” chakras, an explanation of their vibration and lessons, as well as affirmations and other tools that can be used to bring about balance, healing and growth. The following topics will be explored: Brief history of the term chakra, translation of their Sanskrit designations (muladhara, svadhistana, etc.), color association, sense association, elemental association, physical manifestation (location and associated gland), psycho-spiritual function, minerals of resonance, affirmations, yoga poses, meditative focus, etc.

Instructor: John Beck. John is an enthusiastic student of life, and a recent addition to the Radiance staff. His passion for learning has brought him to a place where science and intuition meet. He believes that with an open heart and mind, each of us can cultivate our unique gifts and share them with the world.
